Servant Leadership

Servant Leadership is a philosophy practiced nationwide by businesses, organizations, and institutions. It embraces the concept that the heart of leadership empowers others to:
  • Serve first and seek the best for those they lead
  • Help them as individuals and influence them to make moral and ethical decisions
  • Use power and authority for helping others grow

Servant Leadership can transform an individual and a community. Servant Leadership is a practical philosophy concerned with the ethical use of power and authority. Servant Leadership is a model of business management that demonstrates that arrogance, greed and selfishness don’t have to be the hallmarks of business. It is a model that is catching on with corporations today.

Servant Leadership is a different, and many think better, approach to leadership. It is an approach that puts serving others - including employees, customers, and community - as the number one priority. Servant Leadership emphasizes increased service to others and a holistic approach to work, promoting a sense of community and the sharing of power in decision-making.
